August 2 will mark the official launch of the Port of Walvis Bay’s new container terminal.
The project, which entailed the reclamation of 40 hectares of land at the port, will see the Namibian Ports Authority increase its handling capacity from the current 350 000 TEUs to more than 750 000.
Namibian president Dr Hage Geingob will officially commission the facility.
