Namport recorded a strong performance for the 2024 to 2025 financial year, reinforcing its role as a key logistics hub for Namibia and the SADC region.
Total revenue increased to N$2.88 billion from N$2.56 billion in 2024, while operating profit for the Authority rose by 45 percent to N$793 million. At Group level, operating profit reached N$967 million, with an EBITDA margin of 42 percent. Cargo volumes showed notable growth, with container throughput rising to 253,996 TEUs, representing a 48 percent increase, and general cargo reaching 6.34 million tonnes, up by 13 percent. Cross-border cargo volumes totalled approximately 2.45 million tonnes, with South Africa contributing 35 percent and Zambia 34 percent of these volumes. Vessel calls declined by 13 percent to 1,850, while gross tonnage increased slightly to 23.5 million, indicating a shift towards larger vessels. Performance during the year was supported by increased concession revenue of N$143 million, growth in marine services and cargo volumes, and a continued recovery in regional trade flows.
