Since the beginning of 2019 the Port of Walvis Bay has so far enjoyed 15 calls from various passenger liners. This long weekend we will be receiving two more vessels. The Silver Wisper with a capacity of 392 passengers will be arriving in our waters on Saturday, 20 April whilst the 900 passenger carrying Viking Sun vessel arrives at the Port on Monday, 22 April 2019.
Passenger vessels bring holiday makers to the harbour town who contribute positively to the local tourism industry by spending money at local shops, making use of the public transport system as well as purchasing souvenir items from vendors who specialize in local arts and crafts.
The next confirmed passenger vessel will be docking in October 2019.
