Scam Alert

The Namibian Ports Authority received various concerns from the Ministry of Education about a scamming alert underway. Allegedly, a certain Mr Ronny Goeieman has been contacting several schools on behalf of the Namibian Ports Authority stating that there are containers with donations from Europe to be handed over to the schools but the schools should first make payment in this regard. The calls are being made from cell phone number +264 64 817221561. Please be informed that this is a scam and Namport has not requested for such services from anyone.

Furthermore, please note that the Ports Authority will never ask for money from any members of the public. Also, any communication from the Namibian Ports Authority will always be on the company’s official letterhead. In the absence of such, please treat all other documents as a scam.
