PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Port Equipment Operator Development Programme is a structured capacity‑building initiative designed to equip individuals with the technical, operational, and safety competencies required for port equipment operator roles. In support of Namport’s transformation and social responsibility objectives,
the programme provides skills development opportunities for suitably qualified unemployed individuals. While participation in the programme does not guarantee permanent employment with Namport, it contributes to building a pool of trained, work‑ready operators who can support future operational requirements and broader national skills development needs. The duration of the programme is 24 months. Participants will receive a monthly allowance during the duration of the programme.
