The Namibian Ports Authority welcomed the Top Elegance and Maersk Sofia vessels which are both not new to the Port of Walvis Bay.
Top Elegance 189.89m docked on 12 October 2021 after a one (1) month voyage, originating from Port Longkou, China. A General Cargo vessel, Top Elegance; discharged 8330 tonnes of mining equipment for local and Zambian mines. The vessel is expected to depart from the Port of Walvis Bay on 22 October 2021 heading to Luanda.
Maersk Sofia measuring at 335m in length, docked at the New Container Terminal on 13 October 2021 from Port Luanda, Angola under the flagship of Singapore. A total of 1172 moves were handled on the vessel (152 containers loaded and 1020 discharged) and is expected to depart for the Port of Singapore later today.
