CATS was founded in 1985 by the Southern African German Chamber of Commerce and Industry based on
the German “Dual System” - meaning students confronted with theoretical learning, and four days a week – with
practical training, in companies as the first priority. As a member of the Walvis Bay Corridor, Namport decided
to take part in the training scheme by offering scholarship to matric leavers who want to build a career within the
transport logistics arena.
Selection of trainees will be made in conjunction with the Commercial Advancement Training
Head Office and in line with the Namibian University of Science and Technology.
