"A child’s education is dependent on a strong foundation" remarked Jo-Ann Stevens, Trustee member and Administrator of the Namport Social Investment Fund. It is for this reason that the NSIF resolved to assist the children of Haindongo Kindergarten (situated in the Kahenge Village in the Kahenge Constituency, in the Okavango Region) with N$ 240,000, to build their "house of education" on solid rock. The handover took place today, 18 June 2009, at the Port of Walvis Bay.

| Sedneth 701 Oil Rig |

Today, three years ago , we welcomed the "Sedneth 701" as the first oil rig to come along side at Berth 8 in the Port of Walvis Bay. We sure have come along way since then, seeing that we have accommodated three rigs since; Richardson, Pride Cabinda and the Hercules 185. The Sedneth 701 is now back again and alongside again early in May 2009.
Clearly this is evidence of quality service, excellent pricing as well as the Ports’ strategic location - all providing for added advantages in local Rig maintenance. |
